Upsilon Mu Omega Chapter was chartered March 29, 1997, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin by seventy-six charter members committed to “Service to All Mankind.”

Upsilon Mu Omega Chapter was chartered March 29, 1997, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin by seventy-six charter members committed to “Service to All Mankind.” Upsilon Mu Omega decided it would be known for leadership and empowerment of women of "high scholastic and ethical standards.”

Sponsorship and partnership with other organizations in programs that promote the health and welfare of the community-at-la

rge and the world community have been fulfilled throughout the Milwaukee Community through many activities:
Participation in UNCF Walk/Run

Hosting Boys to Men Conference

Participation in numerous Breast Cancer Awareness projects

Collecting blankets and toiletries for the homeless

Hosting our Annual AKA Family Fun Day

Collecting Coats and Food for families

Sponsoring AKA Money Camp for Kids in partnership with the Milwaukee Public Library

Donating school supplies to local youth

Sponsoring blood/marrow donation drives in the African-American community

Sponsoring various financial workshops for youth and adults

Hosting Dr. Martin Luther King Day of Service events

Serving as Poll Workers for the City of Milwaukee (Adopt-A-Poll)

The Diamond Jubilee Pearls Foundation proudly hosted the 8th Annual AKA Day At The Derby. This year’s celebration featured an enhanced guest experience with elevated hospitality, vibrant energy, and an atmosphere that reflected both fun and intention.

Another beautiful reminder of the power of sisterhood 💕💚✨

Our recent chapter meeting was filled with connection, celebration, and moments that continue to strengthen the bond we share as sisters. From recognizing birthdays and AKAversarys, to celebrating legacy through our Legacy Parade, the love and pride in the room could truly be felt.

We also had the honor of celebrating and recognizing our regional award winners and recipients, highlighting the excellence, service, and impact that continues to shine throughout our sisterhood.

Moments like these are what continue to remind us that sisterhood is more than an organization, it’s a legacy of love, support, mentorship, and lifelong connection. Upsilon Mu Omega Chapter, proudly celebrates our very own sister, Amanda J. Jamerson, on her extraordinary achievement of being named the 2026 National High School Associate Principal of the Year by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP).

As Associate Principal at Shorewood High School, her leadership is rooted in equity, student advocacy, and transformative practice. Beyond the school building, she extends her impact through her platform, AJAM the Advocate, where she continues to champion equitable education and student centered leadership.
