🍅 🥒 🔪 The Kitchen Internship’s annual capstone “Supermarket Challenge” presented by
TGG interns have reached the capstone to their spring internship, The Kitchen with our 5th annual Supermarket Challenge! Over the course of this 2 month program, they were given the tools to shop for and cook healthy meals through recipe demos from a sampling of stellar local chefs. Finally, they were tasked with creating a recipe, shopping on a budget, and preparing a healthy meal for four. Through partnerships with each team of interns was given a $50 gift card to purchase all of their ingredients.
After a short bus ride to the Table, teams put their newfound culinary skills to the test as they raced against the clock to prepare their meal in just one hour. Winners were then selected by our a panel of guests chefs based on four categories: most creative, best plating, best food story/inspiration, and the grand prize: best overall! 🥄
