🎵 GIVE A RECORD. GROW A ROCK STAR! 🎵

Girls Rock MKE/Ladies Rock MKE are launching a mystery record sale fundraiser, and we need your help!

We're seeking donations of new, very good condition, and collector-worthy vinyl records from collectors, music lovers, local bands, and record stores. Through the end of July, we'll be collecting records and transforming them into mystery "blind bags", each one wrapped in a brown paper bag with only a cryptic clue, genre hint, or vibe description to reveal what's inside. Yes, that's right-you won't know what treasures you're buying until you unwrap them!

Will it be a classic album? A hidden gem? A blast from the past of a local band? A collector's treasure? There's only one way to find out!

All proceeds will support Girls Rock MKE's mission of empowering youth through music, creativity, and community.

Join us for an evening of mystery vinyl, femme DJs, great music, and community. Saturday is our big event, but the records will remain on display and available for purchase throughout the following week, so you can stop by and keep digging for treasure while supporting Girls Rock MKE.

Dust off those doubles, share those hidden gems, and help put great music into new hands, all while supporting the next generation of musicians!

🍀It's your lucky day! We're extending our paid staff application deadline to June 3rd!

We've decided to give you a bit more time to fill out your paid staff application for our Girls Rock camps. We're specifically looking for band coaches and a bass instructor for both Session 1 and Session 2, as well as a keys instructor for Session 1.

If you feel you'd be a good fit for any of the positions listed in our application (link in comments), we'd love to see your application, too!

Stop by our table, stay for the show!

Girls Rock will be tabling this Saturday at Bravery in Bloom, a q***r arts festival hosted by that celebrates creativity, expression, and belonging with a host of LBGTQ+ performers, artists, and makers.

On stage, Girls Rock alumni band Nora Nora will kick off the show at noon, then our friend will keep the energy going at 1:00 PM.

Applications are NOW OPEN for our 2026 Camp Season!

Have a strong background in music and experience working with children & teens? Thrive in conflict resolution during the creative collaboration process and enjoy championing all of the great things Girls Rock has to offer?

Girls Rock MKE is looking for passionate people to join our camp team this summer!

We're hiring the following:
* Lead Instrument Instructors (Vocals, Keys, Guitar, Bass & Drums)
* Lead Band Coaches
* Session 2 Camp Director

Girls Rock Camp runs:
* Session 1: July 13–17 (Showcase July 19)
* Session 2: August 3–7 (Showcase August 9)

Must have experience in music and meet the availability listed within each role description (found within the link in the comments).

Applications will close Tuesday, May 26th, 8:00 a.m. SHARP. We will review through the month, and hope to have an answer to you by June 4th.

If you have already submitted a volunteer application for this role, we kindly ask that you submit a new application, as some of the questions may have changed.

All positions are paid seasonal employee roles. We strongly encourage those of underrepresented gender identities and marginalized backgrounds to apply, to better represent and speak to our campers.
