Happy Endings No Kill Cat Shelter Saving lives since 1994. Happy Endings is one of the oldest and largest no-kill cat shelters in Milwaukee, WI.

We focus on promoting the health, rehabilitation, and placement of cats into loving & "FURever" homes as well as educational/community outreach. Many of the cats at Happy Endings were once strays or experienced mistreatment in their past. Our shelter allows these cats a second chance, as our volunteers take time and a special approach with each, understanding their individual needs and what home they'd be best suited for. Our "Socialization Sponsors" program also allows for individuals to work with our cats on a daily basis, helping to build trust and restore the loving bond between cat and human. Happy Endings offers a secure and loving environment for our cats until they're ready to take the next step in their journey via adoption or fostering into loving homes.

Alumni Shelter Spotlight! 😻

From their FURever family:

Hi! I wanted to provide an alumni update. We adopted Oscar (originally Gravy) in March 2025 and we recently adopted Charlie this September. They are already becoming fast friends. They love playing with each other, napping together, and brother Churu time together in the evenings. We are so proud of our boys and they bring so much joy and happiness to our lives! 💜

Adopted! 😻

From his FURever family:

After just a handful of days being home, Max (formerly known as Diemus) is finding his way. He couldn’t be sweeter. He loves to have belly rubs, be brushed and receive head kisses. He has had one on ones with each of the other kitties, with some hissing on both parts, but no physical aggression at all. He likes to be out and about, and he lets me know when he has had enough and is ready to go back in his room for some time to chill. He follows me around like a puppy. His fur is getting softer and shinnier every day. You can see his confidence grow every day. We are in love with this little boy.

Hopefully next updates will have pics of Max with some of the other kitties together. But for now one step at a time. 😸😸😸😸😸
