Having been in operation since 1956, MYSO has thousands of alumni around the world, leading successful, productive lives in every imaginable field and profession, including--of course--music. We would like the opportunity to keep in touch with you and share information on the exciting things MYSO is doing, along with hearing what you are doing and what impact the MYSO/MFY experience has had in your life.

Big news! MYSO alum Julian Rhee (‘19) has officially joined IMG Artists, one of the world’s leading performing arts management agencies. This marks an exciting milestone in his growing career. 🎻

Julian’s artistry continues to inspire, from his Avery Fisher Career Grant and Queen Elisabeth Competition accolades to performances that captivate audiences around the globe.

Congratulations, Julian, on this new chapter! Your MYSO family couldn’t be prouder. 💛

Alumni Spotlight: Meet Nazir Spencer, who played bass in MYSO from 2010-2015!

He recently joined the TMJ-4 team as a reporter/anchor (and gave MYSO a shoutout in his bio!).🎉

MYSO alumni find success in virtually every field from healthcare, law, and engineering to journalism, science and technology, business, and many more, in addition to music. We love seeing where our alumni go in the world! 🎶📍

We are excited to share that MYSO alumna Arianna Brusubardis Grace recently won an audition for a violin position with the Boston Symphony Orchestra! A member of MYSO from 2011-2018, Arianna served as concertmaster in both the Senior Symphony and Chamber Orchestra. She was co-concertmaster of the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America in 2018, touring Asia with the prestigious ensemble. A graduate of The Juilliard School, Arianna was most recently a member of the Kansas City Symphony and the Boston Ballet Orchestra. Congratulations, Arianna! We’re so proud of you!
