Thanks to Milwaukee Alderperson Moore for helping to arrange guests and the Washington Park Media Center for hosting us and being the technical support to make this kind of live + livestream meeting possible. Neighbors like Charlotte, Arlene, Raymond, Dave, and others worked behind the scenes for months to put this new format together. We are interested in your feedback. Please email back or at [email protected]

Your email comment can be directed to Charlotte, Arlene, Dave, and myself so we hear your feedback.

TBD

The Martin Drive Neighborhood Association https://www.martin-drive.org/about will hold a live + livestream meeting similar to the 2024 Aldermanic Candidate Forum on Monday June 8th, 2026, 6:30pm, at the Washington Park Media Center, 4303 W Vliet Street.

Map: https://g.co/kgs/Ztp4yH2

Our Milwaukee Alderperson Moore's Guests will be invited. This DRAFT AGENDA will also have our familiar neighborhood association agenda items for your discussion and decision (and the Coordinating Committee will add additional get togethers for building our community). This meeting will be both in person and a live YouTube video. This will also be recorded to watch at your convenience should you not be able to make the live session. The guests will be determined by the questions you ask our City of Milwaukee Elected Officials. We appreciate their time.

You can use this website to learn more about the 10th District. https://city.milwaukee.gov/CommonCouncil/CouncilMembers/District10

The Martin Drive Neighborhood Association Coordinating Committee and our moderator will sort these questions and ask your questions at the meeting. After talking to our guests, we will have time for neighborhood business and reflect on our efforts to be more inclusive of our neighborhood with the 2025 survey results, asking you to help us move forward with simple volunteer opportunities and make decisions as we try a new direction. We will limit the entire meeting to one hour, 90 minutes maximum.

10th District Questions

Questions on the MEETING should be sent to [email protected]

Please share this with District 10 neighbors. This link will show you if you live in District 10.

Registration is now open for the 23rd Annual Martin Drive Neighborhood-Wide Rummage Sale on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.!

Many neighbors have already registered earlier this year and are all set for the event—they do not need to register again. If you have not yet signed up, now is the perfect time to do so. Registration is completely FREE.

We strongly encourage residents to register EARLY. Buyers use our online sale map to plan their shopping routes before the event, often deciding which neighborhoods and specific sales they will visit days in advance. When your sale is included on the map, you become part of a neighborhood-wide destination that attracts shoppers from across Milwaukee and beyond.

Last year's online sale map was viewed more than 20,000 times, demonstrating the tremendous interest and reach this event generates. The Martin Drive Neighborhood Association invests significant time and resources into making the rummage sale successful for participating households. Throughout the summer, dedicated volunteers help organize and promote the event through social media, online advertising, community networks, neighborhood partnerships, and other marketing efforts designed to bring shoppers directly to Martin Drive.

Another advantage of participating is that we intentionally schedule our event to avoid competing with many other neighborhood rummage sales. This helps maximize shopper traffic and provides participants with an excellent opportunity for a successful sale.

Past participants have consistently reported strong sales and great experiences. The more homes that register, the stronger the event becomes for everyone involved. Whether you are looking to declutter, earn extra cash, meet neighbors, or simply be part of a long-standing community tradition, this event is for you.

Don't wait until the last minute. Buyers are already beginning to make plans, and being included on the official sale map is one of the best ways to attract shoppers to your sale.

Before you fire up your grill, take a few minutes to check it and follow these safety tips:

🔥 Keep grills 10 feet from buildings, porches and balconies are common places where a fire begins.
💨 Never leave a hot grill unattended
🐾 Keep pets and kids at least 3 feet away from the grill
Let’s make these final summer BBQs safe and delicious!

Community is built when neighbors, businesses, and organizations come together with a shared commitment to improving the place we all call home.

The success of the 3rd Annual 43rd & Vliet Street Event Series would not have been possible without the generous support of our local businesses, community partners, volunteers, and residents. Their contributions of time, resources, and encouragement helped create welcoming events that brought neighbors together, strengthened community connections, and showcased the pride we have in our neighborhood.

Beyond supporting community events, these partners continue to invest in efforts that make our neighborhood more beautiful, vibrant, and safe. From beautification projects to advocating for safer pedestrian crossings along Vliet Street, their dedication helps create a stronger and more connected community for everyone who lives, works, and visits here.

A thriving neighborhood is not created by any one person or organization—it is built through collective action and a shared vision for the future. We are grateful to everyone who helped make this year's event series such a success.

Thank you for helping build a stronger community.
