The Hmong Family Strengthening Helpline provides support, contact, and referrals to anyone—regardless of gender and age— who is residing in Wisconsin and experiencing violence and abuse. We are also an excellent source for individuals who are concerned that a loved one is experiencing abuse and violence. Trained bilingual Hmong- and English-speaking staff are available to assist you in situations

related to family violence and abuse by providing intervention, counseling services, support services, and referrals/ linkage to community resources in your respective area(s). Your safety is our priority; all calls are completely confidential. Reach out for help and support when you don’t know where else to turn. No judgment.
• Calls are confidential and anonymous
• We provide referrals to agencies closest to victims’ location who can assist them.
• Answered by a bilingual Hmong-speaking person to assist victims
• Provide information for service providers who are seeking for culturally competent services throughout the state of Wisconsin.

They harass Black Q***r and Trans people for existing. They separate families, they help evict us from our homes, they surveil our neighborhoods, and treat our communities as problems to be controlled instead of people to be invested in. “

Happy Juneteenth, BBWPC family!

Today, we commemorate the end of chattel slavery in the united states. It is important that we understand that Juneteenth is more than a celebration. We are not just fighting for recognition or a national holiday, but for better material conditions for Black people, including life-affirming services "fit for human beings."

Given the chaotic state of this country and this administration, it feels even more important to celebrate the contributions of our Black ancestors and their abolitionist allies. We know that our existence is under attack, both materially and spiritually. Black history is being erased from classrooms across the country. Reproductive freedoms are being stripped away. Voting rights remain under constant attack. We cannot afford necessities like food, housing, transportation, and education. Systems of violence continue to target Black communities, q***r and trans folx, and immigrants and refugees. But Juneteenth is a reminder that freedom was not won through the benevolence of our oppressors. It was won through revolutionary acts of resistance, rebellion, and collective struggle.

We continue that fight in the spirit of Harriet Tubman, Frances Thompson, Bet and Dinah, and all of our ancestors who believed that another world was possible. The struggle for Black liberation continues, and so does our responsibility to carry it forward.

In celebration of Pride Month, we honor the Hmong LGBTQIA+ leaders who have strengthened our communities through their commitment to Q***r, Trans, Gender, and Youth justice. These leaders have stood at the forefront building community, expanding collective learning, and building new generations of leaders.

We recognize and celebrate those who paved the way, created space, and fought for a world where Hmong LGBTQIA+ people can live with dignity, safety, and freedom. Their courage continues to shape our path forward.
