Rohingya American Society Representatives Attend the WMCF 2nd Annual GALA

At the invitation of the Wisconsin Muslim Civic Foundation (WMCF), Shaukhat Ali (MSK Jilani) and Yahya Dildar, representatives of the Rohingya American Society (RAS), attended the 2nd Annual GALA, “Rooted in Community, Raising in Leadership,” held on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 6:00 to 10:00 PM in Brookfield, Waukesha County, Wisconsin.

The GALA brought together numerous community members, leaders and representatives from Wisconsin Muslim community organizations, Islamic scholars, Milwaukee city leaders, Wisconsin state leaders, and many other distinguished community members and guests.

We were honored to meet and connect with many community leaders and organizations during this meaningful gathering. Dr. Mushir Hassan (President), and Fauzia Qureshi (Executive Director) of WMCF, warmly welcomed us to the conference, for which we are very grateful.

Meanwhile, we also congratulate Mr. Salah Sarsour, President of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee (ISM), on receiving the Leader of the Year Award in recognition of his leadership and service to the community-enlarge.

We were very pleased and excited to participate in this important gathering and appreciate the opportunity to strengthen relationships and build greater cooperation among Wisconsin's diverse Muslim communities and organizations.

The Rohingya American Society extends its sincere appreciation to Dr. Mushir Hassan, the WMCF leadership, all organizers, volunteers, sponsors, community leaders, and participants for organizing such a meaningful and inspiring event.

We look forward to continued collaboration, friendship, and community-building, and we hope to see many more successful gatherings and conferences in the near future.

There will be college representatives present from all over Wisconsin to network with on how to get in and succeed in college.
