The Beginning of Mater Filius
Feb 12th 2002 Miriam Manuel underwent routine surgery. Upon recovery in the hospital, she experienced not one, but two near death experiences. This is her story.
Miriam died in her hospital bed lying in her mothers arms. While legally dead, she found herself at her final trial and eternal judgement. Our Lady stood on her right side and Satan stood on her left. Her life flashed before her eyes like a movie. The two sides, good and evil, fought over her soul intently. Finally, Our Lady told her that her “mission is in favor to life” and that she would open a home for pregnant women and their children. At that moment Our Lady told Miriam everything she needed to know about the home. She told Miriam it will be called Mater Filius, meaning mother and child. Miriam was revived at the hospital. She was clinically dead for 4 min and 38 sec. Miriam remained in the ICU for 47 days. During that time Miriam was paralyzed from the head down. One night during her stay Miriam noticed one of her hands became unparalyzed. Miriam filled several notebooks of everything Our Lady had told her. This is when she wrote down the entire manual, by-laws, management, and operations for Mater Filius.
In the ICU, Miriam was to have a procedure. On the day of the procedure, Miriam had another near death experience. This time, she heard voices. They asked her; “If you stay, you agree (to Mater Filius). Do you agree?” And Miriam replied; “I do, I accept.” With those words Miriam awoke and was miraculously healed and had no bodily injuries. The doctors said it was a miracle.
Mater Filius is now on 3 continents, 8 countries, and 23 cities. It opened in the U.S in 2014 with the Milwaukee branch being the 5th location.
There is still so much more details to Miriam’s story. We encourage to you read or listen to her entire testimony!
