Behind many of the images that tell the Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s story are two photographers we are proud to work with: Jim Moy and Pat Robinson.

For years, they have helped us show the people and places that make this community special. Their work has appeared in our Greater Together magazine, our events, our reports, and more.

In honor of Photographer Appreciation Month, we give thanks to them both for the care and craft they bring to every assignment!

National Standards indicate that we meet the most rigorous standards in philanthropy. The accreditation is a promise to our community that we will continue to do this good work together.

We were one of the first community foundations in the country to be certified and have been in compliance with since 2001!

Tia Richardson has brought such color, joy and sense of community to her various mural projects throughout Milwaukee and we were pleased to see the latest one unveiled this month at Tenor Journal Square High School.

Richardson, of Cosmic Butterfly Design, created a 40'x70' mural on the south-facing exterior wall of the high school's building, located on the corner of Kilbourn and Vel R. Phillips avenues. The mural was developed collaboratively with community and engaged teachers and staff from TJS and Tenor Cathedral Square, students, Seeds of Hope alumni and MATC faculty/staff. We supported it through a grant from our Mary L. Nohl Fund.

Congrats to the Hmong Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce on a phenomenal event last Friday!

Its 20th annual Business Awards Celebration highlighted scrumptious bites from more than a dozen Asian-owned restaurants, a variety of performances from local talent as well as recognized the accomplishments of several Asian American and Pacific Islander-owned businesses.

We were proud to be one of the sponsors of the event, and we celebrate the work they do to support Hmong and Asian American businesses in our state.
