Bringing out the best since 1916!

As one of 3 Milwaukee branches of Optimist International, we work together to bring the programs of OI into our neighborhoods and schools. We provide youth a platform to express their views on Optimism both verbally and written and display their athletic skills, while rewarding their talents with scholarship money. Although it is our goal to bring out the best in youth, they also bring out the best in us; and together we bring out the best in our community! Here’s how:

Through teaming up with the Kosciuszko Community Center (KCC), we have the opportunity to service the youth of Milwaukee’s south-side . Here are some of the things that we do:

We provide a station for arts and crafts, games and other activities at the KCC’s annual holiday events for Easter, Halloween and Christmas.

We give away ice cream at National Nite Out so we can meet the families in the neighborhood and spread awareness of our club’s presence at the KCC.

We participate in the KCC’s after school homework help and recreation, and their Read-To-Me sessions of summer day camp. We also sponsor some of the summer camp’s field trips.

Please keep in mind, these are the events that we already have in place. If you have a cause that you are passionate about, let us know. We welcome new fundraising and volunteering opportunities.

The club meets on the 2nd Saturday of the month, at 9:30AM at the KCC, 2nd floor. We’d love it if you joined us!
