Communities across the country recognized Spirit Day on Thursday in an effort to fight bullying and empower LGBTQ + youth.

Milwaukee youth ages 13-18 are encouraged to submit an original poem online for the 2023 Teen Poetry Contest between March 27 and April 21, 2023. Prizes will be awarded to the top two poems in three age categories: 13-14, 15-16, and 17-18. Visit mpl.org/PoetryContest for contest rules, poetry programming, and helpful resources.
