The Greater Milwaukee Foundation has opened another round of 2026 ThriveOn Small Business Loans, designed to provide accessible, affordable capital to small businesses in Milwaukee-area neighborhoods. This program gives preference to disadvantaged businesses facing economic challenges due to rising costs and limited access to capital.

Eligible businesses may apply for loans of up to $50,000, with a 3% fixed interest rate and a 7-year fully amortizing term. The loan also includes no prepayment penalty or fees, with the first 6 months interest-only before monthly principal and interest payments begin.

Funds may be used for business needs such as:
Working capital,
Equipment and supplies,
Debt refinance,
Building improvements,
Payroll assistance, and business-related transportation vehicles.

Applications open July 6, 2026 and close July 20, 2026.
