A cyclist was recently killed in Milwaukee. May he rest in peace, and our deepest condolences go out to his family and loved ones.

This heartbreaking loss is yet another reminder of why Milwaukee needs safe, protected places for people to bike and travel—especially on the Northwest Side.

This is why we are working to bring the proposed 30th Street Corridor Trail to fruition. A safe bike trail is not simply an amenity—it is an investment in safety, connectivity, mobility, health, and the future of our neighborhoods.

We must continue working together to create transportation options that allow residents, families, workers, and young people to move throughout our community safely.

A Milwaukee man is charged in a fatal hit-and-run after police say he struck a bicyclist and later falsely reported his truck stolen.
