Jewish Museum Milwaukee's upcoming special exhibit opens NEXT MONTH!

From Superman and Batman to Captain America, the X-Men, and beyond, Jewish creators transformed their experiences as immigrants and outsiders into universal stories of courage, justice, identity, and hope.

Through original artwork, rare publications, historic artifacts, and Milwaukee connections, Chosen Heroes: The Jewish Comics Experience takes visitors on a century-spanning journey—from the ancient Golem to today’s groundbreaking graphic novels—revealing how Jewish imagination, resilience, and chutzpah helped shape contemporary storytelling.
