Adah’s Light #11 proudly participated in the Unity Grand Chapter International Tea representing Canada with excellence creativity and sisterhood.

From the beautiful red and white decor to the engaging True or False display and the unity captured in these photos our SiStars showed up with style and substance.

This was more than a tea.
It was culture.
It was fellowship.
It was representation.

We are incredibly proud of Adah’s Light #11 for stepping forward and making their mark at the International Tea event.

Unity Award Honoree: Kenneth Ginlack Sr.

Ginlack overcame his own troubled past of crime and substance abuse to lead Serenity Inns Inc, growing in just a few years from a single recovery home into a comprehensive continuum of care for men battling substance abuse and mental health challenges. Serenity Inns opened a new 14-bed, $3 million facility on the North Side in 2024.

Ken is one of this year’s Unity Award honorees, recognized for work that creates opportunity, restores dignity and strengthens our community.

True Square Lodge honors the life and legacy of our Brother, LaMarr Franklin.

Brother Franklin was a lifelong servant to the Milwaukee community whose leadership, mentorship, and vision will continue to impact generations. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched and through the LaMarr Franklin Lofts—an enduring investment in community and hope.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, and all who were blessed by his work.

Lamarr Franklin passed away Wednesday at the age of 80. For decades, he was a driving force in the community, creating opportunities for residents and future generations. Read more at the link in the comments.

Inspired by a recent news report highlighting the urgent food needs at Milwaukee warming shelters, Worshipful Master Ken Ginlack of True Square Lodge No. 11 sprang into action with a determined sense of purpose. Recognizing the critical role emergency warming sites play during extreme cold temperatures, Ginlack collaborated with Todd Coleman, President of the Friends of True Square Foundation, and Antonio Mayo to launch a swift and impactful response, turning concern into immediate action.

Saint Ben's warming shelter in Milwaukee received much-needed food donations after a plea for help aired on WISN 12, following a week of extreme cold weather that depleted their resources.
