Kids Impact Community Kids Impact Community works to strengthen the Milwaukee community through partnerships and service experiences in an inclusive environment.

KIC families are from all sorts of backgrounds who live in the metro area. We care greatly for our Milwaukee community and we prioritize working together with our children. We believe that working hand-in-hand with our children while volunteering fosters long-term benefits. We welcome moms, dads, aunts, uncles, nannies, and grandparents to join our group with your children. https://linktr.ee/kicmke

We host events monthly. Our projects are scheduled to fit the needs of the Milwaukee agencies we work with and the needs of our young volunteers. We encourage our parents (and kids!) to create their own KIC mission based on their passions and interests. Therefore, we do not have a set time or date that we meet for every mission (except for our playdates). We do many weekday events. We also do after-school or weekend events that incorporate older families and we are working on adding more of those. See our blog or missions accomplished page for examples of past missions. Our monthly newsletter updates our KIC families about future events. We also give advance notice of our events on Facebook.

We could use another KIC volunteer for this project!🧡

Are you looking for an independent family project to engage your family each month? KIC is partnering with Panera-Glendale in their 'End of Day Dough-nation' program. KIC families will reclaim surplus baked goods from Panera to distribute to community members living with food insecurity.
We are seeking volunteers to pick up (any time before 10 a.m.) and deliver baked goods on Sunday or Monday morning per month from Panera and deliver them to one of two locations:
➡️The Gathering’s in the Sherman Park neighborhood (Sundays)
➡️Shechem at Hope Street (Mondays)

We will send an email detailing the pick-up and drop-off procedures to interested families.

📚We know your calendar is full this season...Halloween fun, practices, birthday parties, all of it!
That’s why we made this one easy 🧡.

This Saturday, October 24th, join us for a Go Dog Go! / Ve Perro ¡Ve! book party with First Stage teaching artists. Kids will move, play, and act out the story in a silly, interactive theater workshop.🎭And it kicks off Young Changemakers’ Week, our week of service for little helping hands!

📍 Milwaukee Youth Arts Center
🕛 Noon to 12:45p.m. (best for ages 3+)
📚 Bring a new or gently loved book to donate (optional but so appreciated!)

It also fits right between 11a.m. and 1p.m. shows, so it can become a whole family afternoon.

Looking for an independent family activity this weekend?🥪

Join our lunch pack and love project! We could use some more help!🧡
This project serves Just One More Ministry.
Your family will assemble 20-30 sandwiches (meat and cheese with no condiments) wrapped in a plastic sandwich bag.

🎉An inspirational note/care card (or any beautiful decoration your littles wish to create) will be taped to each sandwich bag. The sandwich bags will then be stacked inside the empty bread bag so they can be easily frozen.

Drop off the packed lunches outside a KIC family home (Whitefish Bay, Grafton, west side of Milwaukee – specific addresses will be provided after sign-up.) between 1-8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18th!

🍴We had a wonderful morning at our quarterly Lasagna Love event. First, we had bilingual storytime with . Next, we worked to assemble 15 lasagna that were delivered directly to local community members after the event. Once the lasagna were completed, we decorated Thanksgiving placemats to be be used at dinner service at Stone Soup Project's holiday dinner. Families truly helped spread kindness and love throughout our community today!🧡

What happens when a favorite story leaps off the page and onto the stage? You’re about to find out!🎭

📚Join us Saturday, October 24th for a FREE book party with First Stage, inspired by Go Dog Go! / Ve Perro ¡Ve! Teaching artists will lead our families through an interactive theater workshop where kids move, play, and get silly with their imaginations.

Rallying the troops!! 🤍 One of the sweetest ways to teach our kids a servant’s heart is by serving alongside them! We’ll be making meals for residents of Homes of Hope Street, a transitional housing facility supporting individuals and families as they work toward stability.

We’ll start with a snack and story, then get cooking together at Happy Place Cooking Space! Each family is asked to bring an 8 oz. container of sour cream for the recipe.

🌎Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

Milwaukee sits on the traditional homelands of the Potawatomi, Menominee, Ho-Chunk, and Ojibwe people. Wisconsin is home to 11 federally recognized tribal nations, and Native communities are still here, shaping our state today.

At KIC, we believe kids are never too young to learn about caring for their community. That includes caring for the land we live on and learning whose land it has been for generations. When our families sort books, pack lunches, and visit with neighbors, we’re practicing what Indigenous communities have long taught about taking care of each other and the places we share.🧡
Acknowledging this history is just a starting point. Today we’re taking time to learn alongside our kids, and we hope you will too.

What a special afternoon surrounded by families and friends who believe in our mission, value the power of volunteerism, and know that doing good and having FUN can go hand-in-hand!🧡
