🤱 Pregnancy & Postpartum Support Group: If you’re pregnant or have a baby under two, come sit with other parents who are going through it too. Jerolynn Bell-Scaggs, a licensed counselor, leads the group, and it’s hosted by Moms Mental Health Initiative.

What a joy to welcome GiGi's Playhouse Milwaukee and more than 100 community members to SFCC for their first Boo-gie Bash! 👻💙

We loved sharing our space to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month with dancing, laughter, and connection. Thank you to the GiGi’s team, volunteers, and families who made it so special!

St. Francis Children’s Center is now enrolling! In our inclusive classrooms, children of all abilities learn, play, and grow side by side, building the confidence and skills they’ll carry into kindergarten and beyond.

Our nationally accredited, 5-Star YoungStar program is year-round and full-day, with breakfast, hot lunch, and snack included. Therapists and a special education teacher work right alongside our educators, so every child gets the support they need to thrive. Wisconsin Shares is accepted, and Early Head Start is available for qualifying families with children 6 weeks to 2.5 years old.

We’re so grateful for this generous $45,000 investment in SFCC’s children and families from Herzfeld Foundation! This grant will support a full-time special education teacher in our early childhood program and help us purchase an accessible bus—strengthening inclusive learning and helping more families access our programs and services.

It was a pleasure to attend the St. Francis Children's Center annual dinner at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center last week. St. Francis serves more than 1,200 children annually to fulfill their mission of ensuring that regardless of background or ability, the children they serve can overcome challenges and achieve success within their homes and community.

Our Board of Directors recently approved a $45,000 grant to SFCC to support a full-time special education teacher in their early childhood program, as well as the purchase of a handicapped-accessible bus that will ensure Milwaukee children and families can better access the center’s educational programming and supportive services. We are proud to support SFCC’s outstanding mission and leadership!

Fall fun and parent support are coming up at the Family Activity Center! Here are two welcoming ways for families to connect this week:

🎃 Fall Fest – Our annual celebration for families with children who have special or support needs is back! Enjoy indoor trick-or-treating, a mini pumpkin patch, fall crafts, our fully fenced outdoor playground, and a treat from Musa Ice Cream. Kids can join in at their own pace. Join in on the fun with the whole family!
