This week at Rotary, We introduced Tanya Schilling, our newest member!

Tanya is the Manufacturing Program Lead at GE HealthCare.

A first-generation college graduate who recently earned a master’s degree in Systems Engineering from Cornell University, Tanya is passionate about mentoring first-generation students and creating opportunities for others.

After being introduced to Rotary as a teenager, Tanya developed a strong appreciation for community service that continues to guide her today.

We are proud to announce that the Rotary Club of Milwaukee has been named a finalist for Nonprofit of the Year in BizTimes Milwaukee Media's 2026 Nonprofit Excellence Awards.

This recognition truly belongs to our members, whose dedication to service and creating lasting change helps make Milwaukee a stronger community every day. We are also excited to share that Rotarian Hanna Paul has been named a finalist for Next Generation Leadership, and Rotarian Chuck Roedel has been named a finalist for Corporate Volunteer of the Year.

We look forward to celebrating with fellow finalists at the Italian Community Center on July 23!

This week, we introduced Matt Dorner as one of our newest Rotarians!

Matt is the Chief Executive Officer of Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21, where he leads efforts to support a vibrant, safe, and economically thriving downtown Milwaukee.

With more than a decade of leadership at Milwaukee Downtown, Matt works closely with public, private, and nonprofit partners to advance development projects, strengthen the business community, and enhance quality of life throughout the city center.

Most recently, he spearheaded the fundraising of more than $2 million to create downtown Milwaukee’s first dog park, transforming an underutilized site into a popular community destination and catalyst for new development.

Please welcome our newest Rotarian, Jon Janowski!

Jon is the Executive Director of Neighborhood House of Milwaukee, a position he has held since June 2023.

A graduate of St. Norbert College and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Jon is active in civic life, youth sports coaching, and music, and brings a lifelong commitment to community engagement and service.

Throughout his 34-year career in Milwaukee, he has also held leadership roles with the City of Milwaukee, Hunger Task Force, and Milwaukee County.
