A Grand Opening. A New Beginning.

Last Friday, we officially opened the doors to Meta House’s new campus, and we are still over the moon with gratitude.

We were honored to mark this milestone alongside Mayor Cavalier Johnson, the Honorable Judge Ashley, Meg Kurlinski, Valerie P. Vidal, Sarah Koehn, and Meta House graduate Missy, whose story was a powerful reminder of exactly why this work, and this moment, matters.

To our board members, sponsors, donors, community partners, supporters, staff, and everyone who celebrated with us, whether in person or in spirit: thank you.

This Grand Opening represents so much more than a new building.

It represents a chance for thousands of women and children to access expanded care, more services, and the support they need to build healthier, stronger futures together. It's a chance for Meta House to serve more families, remove more barriers to treatment, and continue building a community where recovery is possible.

The ribbon has been cut. The doors are open. And this is only the beginning.

We are profoundly grateful to everyone who helped bring us here, and we cannot wait to see what becomes possible within these walls.

On Thursday, August 27, we’re coming together to celebrate our mission, our community, and an exciting milestone for Meta House - the grand opening of our new campus!

Swing by for a specialty mocktail menu, a great view, and an evening designed for connection and celebration. A portion of the evening’s proceeds will benefit Meta House, with additional opportunities to support our mission throughout the evening.

Come see us at the Gerald L. Ignace Indian Health Center, Inc. Community Health Fair!

Meta House is excited to be part of the Community Health Fair on Thursday, August 6, from 2:00–6:00 PM at 930 W. Historic Mitchell Street, Milwaukee. The event is free and open to the community.

Stop by the Meta House booth to say hello! A team member will be there to share information about our programs, answer your questions, and connect with community members and partner organizations.

The health fair will also feature free health screenings, wellness resources, fitness activities, food tastings, raffles, and fun for the whole family. We hope to see you there!

Recently, we celebrated a woman whose commencement ceremony reminded all of us what community can do.

Surrounded by staff, family, and friends, she heard story after story about the strength, growth, and perseverance others had witnessed throughout her recovery journey.

Whether it's your first day or you're finding the strength to begin again, you will always be welcomed with dignity, compassion, and the belief that healing is possible.

Featured in this photo is Cindy, one of the first smiling faces you'll meet when you walk through our doors. As a Meta House graduate herself, she knows what it means to take that first step, and she also knows the power of having people who believe in you along the way. Today, she's here to welcome every woman with hope, kindness, and encouragement as they begin their own journey.

Because change happens in community. And no matter where you are on your recovery journey, you don't have to walk it alone.
