First Community Announcement this month! 💕

Under My Wing INC. Has a summer kick off June 9th.
Where we are inviting girls, youth and families to meet the Under My Wing team and our volunteers this summer. We are dedicating and making space for girls this summer.
This summer we want to mentor 5-10 girls through social emotional learning. Connect them to community resources, and build a healthy relationship through trauma-informed practices, all while practicing joy!

MILWAUKEE GIRLS THIS SPACE IS FOR YOU 💜

This summer, Under My Wing is creating intentional spaces for girls to be poured into, supported, mentored, and connected to community.

We know girls need more than programs. They need safe spaces, trusted adults, sisterhood, encouragement, and opportunities to grow into who they are becoming.

On June 9th, we are hosting our Under My Wing Summer Kick-Off where girls, families, and mentors can come together, learn about our summer programming, ask questions, and build connection before the summer begins.

If you are a parent, caregiver, educator, mentor, or community member who knows a girl that needs to be in a healing-centered, empowering, and supportive space this summer — we invite you to register and share.

This is for the girls who need connection.
For the girls who need community.
For the girls who deserve to be seen, supported, and reminded they matter.

Under My Wing INC.. has been awarded the opportunity to partner with youth-serving professionals across Milwaukee this summer and we’re looking for organizations ready to grow with us. ✨

We are launching our Trauma-Informed, Culturally Responsive Training Series, Beyond Behavior-designed for those who are already doing the work with girls of color and want to strengthen how they respond, connect, and lead in real time.

It’s about shifting how we understand behavior and equipping staff, community leaders with practical tools they can immediately apply.

Through this experience, your team will:
• Move from reacting to behavior → to understanding what’s driving it
• Strengthen de-escalation and response strategies that build trust
• Deepen culturally responsive practices that support and affirm youth

💡 Cost: Free

We’re currently looking to partner with organizations who:
• Want to bring this training to their staff
• Are committed to improving outcomes for youth especially girls of color
• Value trauma-informed, restorative, and culturally grounded approaches

We need 5-10 Schools//Organizations.

We are grateful for the community leaders ready to get involved.

Most mentorship programs focus on behavior change.
We focus on identity, leadership and wellness.
This Summer we are doing the work to provide safe spaces, healthy relationships and fun. ✨

In Milwaukee, too many girls are navigating trauma, systemic inequities, and limited access to safe, healing-centered spaces. These challenges impact their mental health, identity, their education, and their ability to see themselves as leaders. Under My Wing, Inc., exist to change that.

After a powerful in-person gathering, we’re expanding our reach; inviting women from across communities, systems, and sectors to connect, collaborate, and explore what mentorship can look like when it’s rooted in care, identity, and purpose.

This interactive virtual experience is for:
• Women in leadership
