"Echo" is a wearable, high-intensity focused ultrasound device that non-surgically treats ovarian cysts, reducing patient anxiety and complications while envisioning the future of healthcare.

Carmen Briones ‘26 (Product Design) is a President’s (Honor) List student from Cambria, Wis., president of the MIAD IDSA student chapter and an intern at SI Jacobson Manufacturing. Briones designed a device called "Echo" that removes ovarian cysts without surgery.

Amazing news on 📣13 students received 2026 honors from the national Society Of Illustrators!

Animation Track in Illustration majors Brooke Thompson ’25 and Alexis McConnell ’26 both received scholarship awards.

Phoebe Nelson ’25 and Julius Koo ’26 had works selected by the society for the second consecutive year. All selected artwork was exhibited at the society’s New York headquarters May 2 – 16, 2026.
