Pickleball is coming.

Good morning, Rotarians,

Our Rotary Park is truly coming together, thanks to the dedication and hard work of our entire club. We are now entering a crucial stage in the park’s development: fundraising.

We’re asking for support from each member to help us reach our goal of raising $100,000 for the park, in addition to the $225,000 we have already secured.

We plan to achieve this through outreach for donations and sponsorships at the park. Please review the information below for an update on our progress.

Exciting news: We have a matching grant program in place, thanks to the club and one of our members. For every dollar we raise from November 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026, it will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $45,000! If we come up with donations of $45,000 it brings us to $90,000, almost our entire goal. The Village of Brown Deer is working on securing a grant for an additional $300,000 to make this truly a place to be in the North Shore.

Please share our website with friends, family, and business owners in the North Shore. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to create a legacy in our community.

Last night we celebrated with Angelica Niemann at the Chamber's Celebrate our Community Awards Dinner. Today we recognize our efforts worldwide to eradicate polio.

Rotary launched the PolioPlus program in 1985 with a promise to children everywhere that one day, they won’t have to fear being paralyzed by polio. It has been a long and challenging endeavor to contain wild poliovirus to just two countries, Afghanistan and Pakistan. And as in any marathon, the final mile of polio eradication is the most difficult. But the Rotary community and partners won’t give up — because polio anywhere will always be a threat to children everywhere. Let’s use this week to raise awareness and support for polio eradication. 📣 🤲🏽
