Here's a post well overdue to share how incredible the 28th edition of the UWM Festival of Films in French was: 16 films, 13 different countries and 10 languages were represented! 🇫🇷🇧🇯🇬🇳🇲🇾🇧🇾🇳🇬🇲🇺🇺🇸🇨🇦🇭🇹🇨🇩🇮🇶🇹🇳
Our Opening Event in partnership with the UWM Libraries, the American Geographical Society Library & the Mathis Art Gallery shed a valuable light on questions of museum ethis and the repatriation of African Art, and offered fascinating reflections to accompany the screenings of "Statues Also Die" and "Dahomey" on opening night.
Throughout the festival, 9 wonderful and enlightening talkbacks were conducted by our diverse UWM and community co-sponsors.
A huge thank you to all of them for making this great Francophone February rendez-vous in Milwaukee possible once again!
