Summer is just around the corner and the family-friendly fun is already ramping up in Milwaukee!

There's so much to explore this month as a family:

✨ Fairy Fest! at Riveredge Nature Center (6/7) – Enjoy an extra magical day on the trails at Riveredge Nature Center! Expect whimsical crafts like wand and flower crown making. Costumes are encouraged!

✨ Lakefront Festival of Art at Milwaukee Art Museum (6/12-6/14) – At this annual festival held by the Milwaukee Art Museum, browse art from vendors across the country, enjoy music, and plenty of hands-on art-making opportunities for all ages!

✨ Polish Fest (6/12-6/14) – America's largest Polish Festival is held right here in Milwaukee! Every year, Polish Fest brings authentic food, music, dance, and artisans to Henry Maier Festival Park.

✨ Water Lantern Festival at Veterans Park (6/13) – Enjoy a magical evening by the lake, designing and launching your lantern. Expect a choreographed, hour-long ceremony set to live music, making the experience extra special.

✨ Little Gig at Summerfest (6/18-6/20, 6/25-6/27) – Enjoy kid-friendly performances and activities during Summerfest. Kids under 5 receive free admission every day!

Get the family ready for Summerfest!

We're partnering with Milwaukee World Festival, Inc again this year on a summer of family-friendly themed days at the Northwestern Mutual Community Playground! 🥳

The first Family Funday is coming up this Sunday, June 7th from 10 AM - 2 PM, and is Summerfest-themed! 🎸

Families can enjoy the playground, take part in hands-on activities, and enjoy bites from food trucks. 🌮

Expect fun activities, like:

🎤 Performances from Milwaukee Flyers, Milwaukee Ballet, and Salsabrositas MKE

🎤 An Eagles & Friends Raptor Show presented by Schlitz Audubon Nature Center

🎤 Exhibits and interactive activities with Betty Brinn Children's Museum Wonder Wagon

Get up close and personal with these gentle giants at the Milwaukee County Zoo! 🦒

You can actually feed the giraffes by hand at the zoo, a special animal encounter experience offered throughout the summer.

It's offered from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM and 2-3:30 PM on weekends between Memorial Day & Labor Day. Opportunities may be affected by animal appetites, weather conditions, or special events. 🥬

The experience costs $5/participant and goes toward conservation.

Here are five of our top picks to add to your calendar this month:

☀️ Kids Bowl Free – All summer long, kids can sign up to bowl free at bowling alleys throughout the greater Milwaukee area. Link in our bio to sign up!

☀️ Villa Terrace Garden Opening Day – Celebrate the beginning of the season at Villa Terrace's Garden Opening Day on June 7th! Expect food trucks, live music, and activities for kids.

☀️ Sunday Family Fun Day: Summerfest – Join us for the first Sunday Family Fun Day of the summer, on June 7th at Summerfest. The theme is Summerfest and will feature some rockin' activities for kids and their families.

☀️ Deer District Farmer's Market – Starting June 7th and running every Sunday, the Deer District Farmer's Market will unite area vendors at the Fiserv Forum plaza.

☀️ Children's Fest Day at Summerfest – Everyone gets in free from 12 PM - 3 PM on Friday, June 26. Spend a fun-filled day with the family enjoying Children’s Fest activities. Select food vendors will offer discounts on food and beverage items.
