Southside Organizing Center The SOC district contains almost 90,000 residents living in the area between the Menomonee Valley (north), Oklahoma Ave.

Southside Organizing Center (SOC), formerly Southside Organizing Committee, is a 501 c3 nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to the development and sustainability of Milwaukee's Near South Side neighborhoods. hoods. SOC works with and for residents to create a safe, livable, and economically vibrant community and are committed to helping to ensure residents have voice, a vote, and vehicle to work together to make positive changes. (south), Lakefront/1st Street (east), and Miller Parkway (west). SOC's area contains the most densely populated and diverse neighborhoods in the State, has the largest concentration of non-English speaking residents, and is one of the few areas of Milwaukee to experience population growth in recent years.

We celebrated the World Cup with a fun theme led by our Leadership Team, welcomed our two new fellows to their first All Staff Meeting, and enjoyed great discussions with staff and partners.

Work on the 35th Street intersection will begin on Tuesday, May 26, and will result in a closure of the southeast corner of the intersection.
