You shouldn't have to choose between support and your budget. 🧡
If you're covered by Chorus Community Health Plans, WIDOCC doula services are available to you at no cost. That means continuous labor support, advocacy, and someone completely in your corner — for free.
Cost should never be the reason a family goes without support. And with this partnership, it doesn't have to be.
→ Fill out our doula inquiry form at doulasofcolor.org to get started. Your doula is waiting. 🧡

This month, Doula Village MKE is focusing on something that deserves our attention, awareness, and care…preeclampsia.

As doulas, we don’t diagnose.
But we notice. We listen. We advocate.

So we’re building our knowledge together.

Here’s what to expect every Saturday each week:

Week 1: What is preeclampsia
Week 2: Risk factors + symptoms
Week 3: How doulas support + advocate
Week 4: Resources to stay informed

This isn’t about fear.
This is about being prepared, grounded, and responsive in real moments with our clients.

Because awareness in the right space with the right people can make all the difference.

Let’s grow our understanding and our impact. 💛

This gathering invites you into a sacred, affirming space where nourishment is reclaimed as self-love, cultural continuity, and collective care for BIPOC families. Together, we’ll explore the realities shaping how birthing people nourish themselves and their babies, from access and workplace barriers to stigma, stress, and gaps in culturally responsive support.

Every family’s journey is unique, and all deserve dignity, choice, and care. We’ll also name the impact of systemic oppression and medical racism while uplifting holistic, trauma-informed approaches to nourishment, rest, and healing in the fourth trimester 🤎
