🇵🇸 AUGUST 15 - WE HONOR ALL OUR MARTYRS - RALLY OUTSIDE OF WISCONSIN STATE FAIR 🐮
Today marks one year since Anas al-Sharif’s martyrdom and his final message — “I entrust you with Palestine… I entrust you not to be silenced by chains, nor held back by borders.” In response, the PYM announced a global week of action and Milwaukee is responding with a rally outside of Wisconsin State Fair.
📆 Saturday, August 15
🕦 11:30AM - 1:00PM
📍 Meeting location at West Allis City Hall: 7525 W Greenfield Ave, West Allis, WI 53214
📣 Rally location: at the corner of 76th & Greenfield Ave.
🚎 Bus routes 18 & 33 get you directly to our meeting spot.
💧Water and some snacks will be available.
🚗🚗 TRANSPORTATION: State Fair opens at 10AM and we expect parking to be difficult to find. Please plan ahead to allow enough time to arrive, find parking, and walk to the meeting location. We strongly encourage carpooling and/or taking the bus. If you're interested in carpooling with other attendees, please DM us and we'll do our best to connect you with a carpool.
We will gather outside the fair grounds to raise the voice of Palestine, to educate our neighbors about the zionist practice of targeting journalists, and to expose Western media complicity in the genocide.
Join us as we honor Anas and all of the 309+ martyred journalists in Palestine, Lebanon and the region.
The murder of journalists is an intentional attempt to silence the voices of truth who expose the continued crimes of the Zionist entity. In the face of this reality, the ongoing genocide, escalations against Palestinians in the West Bank and the silence of Western press, it is our responsibility to carry Anas’ call forward and be the voices of truth, fighting for Palestine until total liberation.
For these reasons, Milwaukee4Palestine has continued pressuring the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and the Shepherd Express to end their genocide denial and complicity in these war crimes through their biased, zionist-first reporting.
We encourage you to sign our petition to the Shepherd today at bit.ly/shepherdexpress, and to visit entrustedwithpalestine.com to send a pre-drafted letter to fifty-six newsroom editors at mainstream media outlets.
