We'll miss you Farmer Dave. Hope there's lots of fun machines to play with in that compost pile in the sky.
When we first got started, all we wanted was to make good dirt for a garden. But we quickly figured out that fighting food waste was our real passion, and so we teamed up with Blue Ribbon Organics (FKA "the Farm's Composting") to do that a bunch of different ways, including composting all the food waste from a Bike In Movie at the lakefront. That was a super fun night, and a fun photo op. Dave's on the right of the picture if you didn't know him, and if you did you can't miss that great big smile.
The real "fun" though was the thousands of pounds of food waste we diverted from events like this and Bay View Bash in collaboration with Dave, James and the whole gang at the Farm. So much of what we have done, and what Milwaukee has done to make composting an option for everyone, would not be possible without his vision.
