𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐌𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐁𝐲 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 | Dog While Already Restrained — Dies Days Later in Tennessee Jail"

It was four Tennessee cops against one non-combative Black man. Last week, officers tasered Darius Chappell, yanked him by his locs, and then one officer reportedly said, “Get the dog out!”

A Clarksville police officer then opened the back door of his patrol car and allowed the K9 to attack Chappell for nearly a full minute — while he was already on the ground and restrained.

Chappell, 34, screamed in agony as officers continued ordering him to “roll over” and “put your hands behind your back” — even while the dog was tearing into him.

Days after this horrific incident, Darius Chappell died in a Tennessee jail. This is yet another disturbing case of excessive force caught on video and in eyewitness accounts.

The brutality, the lack of humanity, and the casual way officers allowed a dog to maul a man who was already down raises serious questions about training, accountability, and the value placed on Black lives in law enforcement encounters.

Our hearts go out to Darius Chappell’s family and loved ones as they demand answers and justice.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office responded to a scene near 36th and Thurston Avenue around 5 p.m. Saturday.

Loved Ones have identified the 19-year-old as Savannah 💔💔💔 who was fatally shot and died on scene

The medical examiner's office says they are investigating a death there.
