Two weeks ago, the Milwaukee Police Department Motorcycle Unit, along with several other Wisconsin motor officers, traveled to Washington, D.C. to honor Kendall Corder and all fallen officers of 2025 during National Police Week.

The Milwaukee Motor Unit Association was again Honored to Support our Wisconsin Law Enforcement Motor Units.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the following businesses whose generous donations helped make this trip possible. Your support, generosity, and commitment to law enforcement and our community are truly appreciated.

Because of your contributions, our officers were able to stand in remembrance and pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Thank you for your continued support of the Milwaukee Police Department Motorcycle Unit and the law enforcement community.

It was an absolutely beautiful day for the 1st official Mark Lentz Memorial Ride! We started in Waukesha and ended up in Trempealeau county! We rode the driftless area, the Mississippi River, and WI, IL and IA!
If you missed it, plan on it for ‘26 as it will be back!
We will get the word out earlier and get it out in a newsletter!

The Milwaukee Motor Unit Association strives to represent and serve the Motor Police Officers of the Milwaukee area, but it does not just end there. Motor Officers would not be able to complete their duties without the support and partnership from the Police Officers assigned to patrol.

Today we honor our brother Police Officer Kendall Corder, whose selfless service and ultimate sacrifice show what we already know, that Officer Corder is a hero and as courageous as they come. The Motor Officers of the Milwaukee Police Department are honored to have worked along side Officer Corder for the six years Officer Corder worked in District Two. Officer Corder, thank you for your dedication and service. We hope to bring you honor as we es**rt you and show Milwaukee and the world the Hero send off that you deserve.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Milwaukee Police Officer Christopher McCray, who is still recovering from a gunshot wound he received that night. Your Brothers and Sisters of the Milwaukee Motor Unit Association are here for you.

The Milwaukee Motor Unit held its spring Inservice this past week. 5 days if intense training including every aspect of what it takes to be a Bikeman!
Neighboring jurisdictions also joined in for training.
On Friday, the MMUA bought lunch for the the participating Motors from DiStefano’s Pizza Palace!
Thank you to everyone at MPD that worked hard to put this training together!

The MMUA sends our condolences to the family and co workers of Detective Erik Lee.

As the bio says, Erik was a great man and a great police officer, and we looked forward to seeing him every year and the BMOA advanced training.

I am glad we got to spend a week working together during the RNC. I will cherish those memories forever.

We will never forget your smile, your upbeat attitude, or your jokes.

Rest in peace brother, we have the watch.

The Madison Police Department is mourning the loss of Detective Erik Lee.

Detective Lee suffered a medical event while on duty Monday afternoon.

Erik joined the department in May 2001 and served dutifully in patrol, the crash unit, training, and on the Traffic Enforcement Safety Team motor unit. He was promoted to detective in 2023 and was excited to serve the department in a new way. He was currently assigned to the Burglary Crime Unit.

Erik was known for his sharp sense of humor and making others laugh. He was more than willing to help others in any capacity, whether coworkers, trainees or citizens in need.

He had a particular passion for fi****ms safety, which led him to become a fi****ms instructor for our department. Erik was the person who could put an anxious learner at ease, assess their deficiencies, and provide corrective measures for improvement while instilling confidence.

Erik cared deeply for the strong bond within the law enforcement community. He was an active member of the Honor Guard, participating in events near and far to provide support for other fallen officers.

He is survived by his wife, two children, and father, whom he loved dearly.

Erik, we will miss you, and we will never forget you. Thank you for
choosing MPD to be a part of your extended family.
