It was wonderful to be surrounded by such powerful women. Many of whom was the first to create, the first in their field, I'm talking about real change agents. Women who have lead the way, given of themselves, helped, motivated and supported others. Amazing women.

I left the event thinking "What more can I do? How can I impact more and how can I affect change?" I'm ready! We at The Dorothy Mae Foundation have more work to do!

Congratulations to all the honorees, it was definitely well deserved. I am blown away by who you are. 🙌🏾❤👏🏾

My vibe this morning. Maze feat Frankie Beverly was my grandmother's favorite band. As an adult they have become my favorite band as well.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there.

This Mother’s Day is especially dear to my heart as I prepare for the official launch of the foundation I’m starting to honor the legacy of my late grandmother. She believed in me and invested in my future. That belief helped me become the successful woman I am today both personally and professionally.

Through the Dorothy Mae Foundation, we plan to carry on her legacy by investing in the future of young people that want to pursue higher education and individuals that desire to start businesses.

The Dorothy Mae Foundation is in honor of my late grandmother. Growing up as a teen I was rebellious. I ran away from home and on the morning that I decided to come home my grandmother passed away. She never got a chance to see me become the successful woman I am today.

The Foundation would provide a mentorship program as well as reward recipients, young adults, that have turned their lives around, with funding to continue their higher education or start businesses.
