Our condolences to Bell Ambulance and the family of Meng Kue who has family that works with the Milwaukee Police Department. We are very sorry for the loss of your brother.

It is with profound sadness that we share the loss of one of our own. Last night, Meng Kue tragically lost his life in an off-duty vehicle accident.

Meng was a valued member of the Bell Ambulance family, and his passing leaves a void in all our hearts. As we navigate this incredibly difficult time together, we ask that you hold your loved ones close and extend grace and kindness to one another.

We are currently activating our peer support plan to ensure our team has the resources they need. We will share further information and memorial details as they become available. Rest in peace, Meng.

Deepest sympathy to Bill Kraus, Co-Founder of Mission BBQ. His son died in a helicopter crash. He is a huge supporter of Police and has fed all of us at some point.

One of the four U.S. Army soldiers killed in a helicopter crash in Washington state on Wednesday was the son of Mission BBQ co-founder Bill Kraus.

The Milwaukee Police Honor Guard in partnership with The Milwaukee Fire Honor Guard and several other agencies had the honor of paying our final respects for Police Officer Kendall Corder.
The Milwaukee Honor Guard association was proud to be be able to assist with some uniform expenses and sponsoring the memorial buttons which were handed out at the visitation and funeral.
If you are wondering what your membership would do to help local honor guards, this is a small example of what we are trying to accomplish.
Next will be fundraising for Police Week in Washington DC, where we will pay our respects for Officer Kendall Corder from Milwaukee, and Detective Erik Lee from Madison WI.
If you are interested in joining the association or donating, please reach out to us via messenger!

The Milwaukee Honor Guard Association extends our deepest condolences to the family of Police Officer Kendall Corder. Officer Corder dedicated his life to serving his community. His daily acts of courage, integrity, and selfless service truly define him as a hero.

We remain steadfast in our commitment to honor our brother and ensure he is never forgotten. We also stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters from District Two and across the Milwaukee Police Department during this time of grief and mourning.

Our thoughts are also with Officer Christopher McCray who was also shot that night. We pray that he has fast recovery as well.

The Milwaukee Honor Guard Association was honored to be able to assist the Milwaukee Police Department Honor Guard with their trip to National Police week in Washington DC. The MPD honor guard assisted with escorting over 50 survivors and their families during the airport escorts, over 25 survivors at the candlelight vigil, and stood watch at the National Police Memorial wreath.
The MPD honor guard worked closely with WI Concerns of Police Survivors (WI C.O.P.S.) and other WI honor guards to assure all survivors from WI were met at the gates by fellow Wisconsinites, and escorted at the candlelight vigil by a familiar face.
The Milwaukee Honor Guard Assocation was able to offer assistance because of the profits raised from Memorial coin sales, and the only reason the coins did well was because of supporters like you. So a giant thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
And a very, very heartfelt thank you to the Milwaukee Police Association for their generous donation!

The MHGA sends our condolences to the family of Erik Lee.

Not only was Erik a Motor Officer and a detective for the Madison Police Department, he was also an honor guard member.

We were just able to spend a little time in IL at the funeral for IL State Trooper Clay Carns catching up, and we talked about summer plans, his upcoming trip to Milwaukee, and riding in the BMOA advanced training in August.

Erik will live in our hearts forever.

Rest in Peace Brother, we have the watch.

The Madison Police Department is mourning the loss of Detective Erik Lee.

Detective Lee suffered a medical event while on duty Monday afternoon.

Erik joined the department in May 2001 and served dutifully in patrol, the crash unit, training, and on the Traffic Enforcement Safety Team motor unit. He was promoted to detective in 2023 and was excited to serve the department in a new way. He was currently assigned to the Burglary Crime Unit.

Erik was known for his sharp sense of humor and making others laugh. He was more than willing to help others in any capacity, whether coworkers, trainees or citizens in need.

He had a particular passion for fi****ms safety, which led him to become a fi****ms instructor for our department. Erik was the person who could put an anxious learner at ease, assess their deficiencies, and provide corrective measures for improvement while instilling confidence.

Erik cared deeply for the strong bond within the law enforcement community. He was an active member of the Honor Guard, participating in events near and far to provide support for other fallen officers.

He is survived by his wife, two children, and father, whom he loved dearly.

Erik, we will miss you, and we will never forget you. Thank you for
choosing MPD to be a part of your extended family.
