As we approach AALAM's Annual Community Meeting, we are proud to share the final alumni voice in our 15 Years of AALP Impact series.

Over the past year, we have celebrated leaders whose journeys reflect AALP's lasting influence across organizations, industries, and communities. Today, we spotlight AALP alum Peavy Holmes.

‌When Peavy joined AALP, he had already spent nearly two decades building his career at Northwestern Mutual and had witnessed firsthand the transformation colleagues experienced through the program. Inspired by their growth, he entered the experience seeking greater clarity around his own leadership journey.

Through AALP, Peavy developed a personal mission and vision that continues to guide his professional and personal decisions. The experience strengthened his executive presence, reinforced the value of community, and connected him with leaders who shared a commitment to growth, development, and impact.

Today, Peavy serves as a Principal at Northwestern Mutual, where he partners with leadership teams to drive business performance, talent development, and organizational success. He also mentors emerging leaders and creates opportunities for connection and growth through leadership development and affinity-based initiatives.

As we approach AALAM's Annual Community Meeting, we continue celebrating alumni whose leadership reflects the lasting impact of AALP and the ripple effect of leaders who invest in themselves, their organizations, and their communities. We are proud to spotlight AALP alum Corry Joe Biddle, whose leadership journey reflects authenticity, growth, and a commitment to creating opportunities for others

When Corry Joe joined AALP, she was serving as Vice President of Community Affairs at MMAC and had already established herself as a respected leader. Through reflection, dialogue, and connection, she rediscovered the perspective and individuality that had always shaped her leadership approach while gaining the confidence to show up more fully as herself.

Today, Corry Joe continues to shape conversations that strengthen Milwaukee's workforce and talent ecosystem through her leadership at MMAC. She also serves on the boards of Ko-Thi, United Way's Employment Task Force, and Froedtert's Community Impact Foundation. Beyond her professional and civic leadership, Corry Joe remains an active presence within AALAM, regularly investing in current cohorts through retreats, sessions, and leadership development experiences that help future leaders grow with confidence and purpose.

With six alumni stories remaining in our celebration of 15 years of AALP impact, we're proud to spotlight AALP alum and AALAM Board Member Dr. Milika Miller, whose leadership journey reflects authenticity, excellence, and the confidence to lead on her own terms.

When Dr. Miller joined AALP, she was navigating questions about how to show up authentically in professional environments that often rewarded conformity over individuality. Through the program, she learned to embrace her strengths as a strategist and systems thinker, gaining the confidence to trust her voice and lead with greater presence and purpose.

Today, Dr. Miller serves as Vice President of Operations at the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, where she helps steward more than $47 million in contributions and $75 million in annual grantmaking while leading critical operational functions that support lasting community impact. As an AALAM Board Member, she continues to invest in developing future leaders and growing the organization.
