Have a three-year bachelor’s degree from outside the U.S.? 🎓🌎

You may be wondering how it will be evaluated in the United States.

ECE® reports may show either a U.S. three-year bachelor’s degree or a U.S. four-year bachelor’s degree equivalency, depending on your academic program.

Why the change? Some accredited U.S. universities now offer three-year bachelor’s programs, which means certain international degrees may be comparable to a U.S. three-year bachelor’s degree.

Your evaluation will reflect the equivalency that best matches your education.

As always, the school, employer, licensing board, or other organization receiving your report decides what it will accept.

ECE offers nursing reports designed for internationally educated nurses applying for licensure through participating U.S. state boards of nursing.

The report you need depends on where you are in the licensure process:

✅ Initial RN Licensure Report
For applicants who have not yet taken the NCLEX-RN® exam for U.S. licensure.

✅ Endorsement RN Licensure Report
For nurses who already hold a U.S. RN license and are applying for licensure in another participating state.
Requirements can vary by state. Before you apply, check the requirements for the state where you plan to become licensed.
