That's right, everyone! It's the OFFICIAL celebration announcement of the 60th Anniversary of Wisconsin Dance Council. We have such an exciting weekend in store for all of you. Join us Friday, October 9th at Primrose Retreat for the Diamond Jubilee dinner, complete with performances and a beautiful sunset. On Saturday, October 10th, we will continue the celebration with our WDC Annual Conference at MYArts in Madison—classes, workshops, Mini-Dance Festival performances, and more.

We hope you’ll join us for this special weekend celebrating our past, our present, and the future of dance in Wisconsin. Thank you for being part of the WDC community and for helping us reach this incredible milestone. We can’t wait to celebrate 60 years with you!

The program offers professional mentorship from notable WI dance artists, $1000 stipend, free rehearsal space, and a performance showcase! That’s right, all! The Emerging Artist Mentorship Program application process has officially gone live! This program will support four emerging artists within the first five years of their professional careers. ALL genres encouraged to apply! Applications are due September 15th, 2026 at 11:59pm. Be sure to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity! Mentorship, rehearsal space, performance, and stipend!

Calling Wisconsin Dance Artists! Applications are now open for our Emerging Artist Mentorship Program here at WDC. We welcome dance artists of all genres to submit proposals for one subsidized choreographic cycle. The project is designed to support (4) emerging artists within the first five (5) years of their professional career.

Those selected receive Individual mentorship throughout the creative process, two meetings with professional artists, six to seven weeks of complimentary rehearsal space, $1,000 artist stipend, a public performance opportunity in Southeastern Wisconsin (late January/early February 2027), professional documentation, and the opportunity to create meaningful relationships with program alumni, professional artists, and members of the dance community!
