A $3,500 check was presented to the Milton Food Pantry by Milton Rotary President Walter White from proceeds raised at the second annual St. Paddy’s plunge at Houghton’s Pond last March 17. Team Milton Rotary participated in an Ice Bucket Challenge last night at the Forbes House Museum in Milton. Participating were Pres. Walter White, Past Pres Mike Maholchic, Past Pres Bob Reetz, State Se. Walter Timilty, Past Pres. Pat Desmond, and Rotarian for the event Brandon Musto. Pres. Walter challenged all the club presidents in Rotary District 7950 to the Ice Bucket Challenge to support research for ALS.

45 Supporters were not afraid of cold water and plunged into it willingly to support Rotary's goals: advancing understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of professionals united in the ideal of service. Teams from Milton Rotary, Curry Baseball, MASS Architect and MHS Girls Soccer, along with individual plungers raised $8,400, to be split evenly between the Milton Rotary Foundation and the Milton Food Pantry, supporting Milton individuals and families in need of food.
