Bring Kroger to Pensacola

Bring Kroger to Pensacola We are a grassroots organization that is focused on the efforts to bring the grocery store chain Kroger to the Pensacola, Florida area.

We are also in the effort to also bring Kroger to the Florida Panhandle.

This is one of the reasons why I want Kroger stores here in the panhandle, this dominance is not good for our area and it's not good for the state of Florida.

Publix is indeed considered too dominant in Florida due to its significant market share and the impact it has on grocery prices.

It owns the largest share of grocery stores in Florida, with a commanding presence in the state.

Publix has grown into a dominant grocery retailer in the Southeast, with nearly $60 billion in annual sales.

The grocery landscape in Florida is fiercely competitive, with Publix enjoying exceptional brand equity and store loyalty levels.

However, the dominance of Publix has led to rising grocery costs for consumers, as it controls a large portion of the market.

Overall, while Publix has established itself as a leader in Florida, its market power raises concerns about consumer pricing and competition in the grocery industry.

This is according to Copilot AI.

Well looks like Aldi is buying the whole of Winn-Dixie after all. Come on Kroger you still have a chance to have a brick and mortar presence here in the panhandle of Florida.

At least one Winn-Dixie store in Pensacola is still planning to be converted into an Aldi despite selling stores back to Southeastern Grocers.

The other day when I was doing deliveries for DoorDash, I was sent to Aldi to shop for a delivery order for seafood boil, but it was the only brand of seafood boil that Aldi had and they were compeletely out of seafood boil, and I had to cancel the order and issue the customer a refund. Aldi hardly never carries any national brands, they only carry their store branded grocery items. This is one of the reasons why I despise Aldi with a passion, not having enough brands of items for the customer's consideration when I'm doing a shopping order on DoorDash, it's all apart of Aldi's dumb penny pinching ways. This is something neither Kroger or Publix will ever do, and this is one of the reasons why I wanted Kroger to acquire Winn-Dixie and not Pukedi and this is one of the reasons why we need Kroger here in the Panhadle of Florida, so that I can have a grocery store that I can fulfill DoorDash shopping orders, and we need both Kroger and Publix on DoorDash because of this. Hope this clarifies things.

So after we are successful in bring a brick and mortar Kroger supermarket to our area. Where in Pensacola could their first Kroger store be located, my prediction is either Bayou Blvd just south of Cordova Mall, On New Warrington Rd. right across from Pete Moore Chevrolet just north of NAS Pensacola, or on North Davis Hwy in the abandoned Sports Authority store north of I-10. As for a Kroger store in Milton, Florida probably in the abandoned Bealls Store on US Hwy 90/Caroline Street right next to big lots.

What are your predictions for the first Kroger Supermarket in the panhandle?

Here's a question I asked on Co-Pilot AI about Aldi and not Kroger buying Winn-Dixie:

Why did Aldi acquire Winn-Dixie and why didn't Kroger acquire Winn-Dixie?

Aldi acquired Winn-Dixie's parent company, Southeastern Grocers, for several strategic reasons:

Expansion Strategy: Aldi aims to expand its presence in the Southern U.S., where Winn-Dixie and Harveys stores are primarily located. This aligns with Aldi's goal to add 800 stores nationwide by the end of 2028.

Store Conversions: Aldi plans to convert some Winn-Dixie and Harveys stores to Aldi locations, which will help them achieve their expansion goals.

Market Opportunities: Acquiring Southeastern Grocers allows Aldi to bring affordable groceries to more communities in need, particularly in Florida and the Southern U.S.

As for Kroger, they were not involved in the acquisition of Winn-Dixie. Kroger was actually in talks for a merger with Albertsons, but that deal faced regulatory challenges and was not pursued. Additionally, Kroger had previously attempted to acquire some Winn-Dixie stores in 1999, but the deal was terminated due to antitrust concerns.

Anti-trust concerns my ass, thanks a lot regulators. GO HOME ALDI!!!

Now that Aldi has acquired Winn-Dixie, Publix is the only grocery store here in the Florida Panhandle that has things such as a Bakery, Deli, Pharmacy, Florist and such, things Aldi does not have in their stores not counting Walmart and all the Winn-Dixies are going to become Aldis. I love Kroger's bakery Birthday Cakes far more than I do Publix's, and the nearest Kroger store is all the way in Opelika, Alabama near Auburn, which means I have to drive north on I-65 to Montgomery, and then North on I-85 to Opelika.

Also I'm worried that Aldi buying Winn-Dixie is not only could mean a Publix monopoly when it comes to in store grocery services here in the panhandle but also in the entire state of Florida. This is not good for Florida, and besides I don't want foreign companies to have any dominance over any industry in this country, it's a bad image to this country.

Please join my cause to bring Kroger to not only Pensacola, but also to Gulf Breeze, Pace, Milton, Navarre, Fort Walton Beach, Destin, Niceville, Crestview, and all throughout the Florida Panhandle, and delivery only will not do, we need brick and mortar stores in Pensacola.
