This fledgling Tufted Titmouse appeared to have a head injury. When I brought it to New England Wildlife Center the staff told me it was their 1,000th patient! They are always overwhelmed yet each animal gets amazing care. They are an invaluable resource and deserve recognition!

Meet Miss Dora Dash. Dora was found outside a home asking to go in. She is very vocal! Dora is about a year old. She is vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. She is a little shy at first but is a love bug once she warms up. If you would like to meet Dora, please email us at [email protected]

Have you ever had to have that family discussion about who is going to take in Uncle Gus? You like him and know he needs a home but he isn’t exactly warm and fuzzy. Oh he will give you lots of affection when he wants to but don’t greet him with a big hug! You know the type. Funny, friendly, a little eccentric and definitely can be cantankerous. Well, good old Uncle Gus is looking for home.

Gus is about 10 years old. His elderly owner passed away and a family member took him in begrudgingly. They kept Gus for 2 years but never really wanted a cat so surrendered him to us. Gus is used to being the only pet in the home. If you think you could give this handsome boy a chance please email us at [email protected].

It was a rainy, dreary morning, so we decided to do arts and crafts! Each of the dogs and cats got to make their own painting. As you can see, they all had a different approach and technique. Some were refined and thoughtful, while others literally threw themselves into the process (looking at you, Gus). We think the results are stunning! Which is your favorite?

*Please note, the only animal currently available for adoption is Gus the cat. We do not know if/when the others will be available. (Except Jack. He lives here.)*

We are going to jump right into summer! Please remember your dogs cannot sweat to cool themselves off. Leave your pets home while you are out doing errands. Do not leave them in the car. Short walks and check the pavement. If you are uncomfortable walking on hot surfaces in your bare feet then so are they. Let’s keep our beloved pets safe!
