Napoleon and I took a beautiful ride down to the Cape, enjoying the foliage along the way. He will now be a Cape Cod resident and will have a flock of Bantam hens to be friends with. Napoleon wouldn’t let me stay though. He made me come back. Thanks so much my fine feathered friend !

I didn’t think the perfect cat existed but it does. Her name is Princess. She is about 1 1/2 years old and ready for a new home. Princess is gentle and affectionate and just wants to be with you. She was pregnant when she came to the Shelter and her six kittens have all found homes. Princess gets along with other cats and would fit him well into almost any home. If you are interested in meeting princess, please email us at [email protected].

Something as simple as a cardboard box or paper towel roll can provide a great enrichment tool for animals. Today Lucy, Angus, and Max enjoyed unpacking boxes containing treats and toys. They know that it’s important to reuse and recycle!

A few of our Shelter residents and guests raided the costume box. They said they couldn’t wait for Halloween! Please note we never do anything that the animals are afraid of or do not want to do. For example, Angus looks like a Swiffer but he is supposed to be a pig. He did not like the headpiece of the pig costume so we did not put it on. He can be a Swiffer if he wants to. 🤷‍♀️🐷

Meet Max. Max was surrendered due to the owners physical inability to care for him anymore. Max is nine years old and in good health. Max likes people to go slow with him at first as this whole new adventure is a bit scary for him. With mutual trust, he is a happy funny little guy. He seems to like other dogs. Due to his age and lack of experience, we are suggesting no young children for Max‘s new family. If you are interested in meeting him please email us at MiltonAnimalshelter@gmail. com.
