Last week, our President & CEO, Michael Ledger, visited communities impacted by Hurricane Isaias to hear directly from our partners, volunteers, and neighbors.

Through a Community Voices series, hear firsthand perspectives on the challenges of recovery in communities where Hurricane Isaias has disrupted access to food and increased the need for emergency food assistance.

What they’re seeing on the ground reminds us that recovery takes time. It takes partnership. And it takes all of us.

🧩 Every puzzle starts with a few pieces that give it shape. 🧩

Our Hope Harvesters provide that foundation through monthly gifts that keep nutritious food on our neighbors’ tables. Their dependable support helps us plan ahead, purchase food in bulk, and stretch every dollar further as we respond to our neighbors’ needs.

Every $10 gift helps provide 50 meals a month. You choose the amount and the giving date that works best for you.

Most of us have faced an unexpected expense. A medical bill. A car repair. A leaking roof. But what if the grocery money was already stretched as far as possible or gone before the week was over? What happens when another bill shows up and there is nothing left to cut?

For families facing food insecurity, that is a scary reality.

Now imagine having somewhere to turn.
When our community comes together, families facing impossible choices can keep food on the table even when an unexpected expense pushes an already stretched budget past its limit.

Your gift today makes a not-so-scary reality possible for families across our community.

One week after Hurricane Isaias, many of our neighbors across South Alabama and the Florida Panhandle are facing damaged homes, limited access to food, and uncertainty about what comes next.

But they are not navigating recovery alone.

Working alongside community partners, Feeding the Gulf Coast has distributed more than 1 million pounds of emergency food, water and essential supplies since the storm.

This carousel shares just a few snapshots of that work—and the voices of people seeing the need firsthand.

We are deeply grateful to every individual, business, and community partner helping make this response possible.

As recovery continues, so do we.

Hurricane recovery takes all of us.

Since Hurricane Isaias, Feeding the Gulf Coast and our partners have distributed more than 420,000 pounds of food and water to communities affected by the storm across Florida and Alabama.

For families impacted by the destruction of the storm, recovery is only beginning. Neighbors across our communities remain without power and are facing property damage and disrupted access to food and water. As recovery continues, so do we.
Your generosity helps us deliver essential food and water to affected families and sustain our relief efforts in the days and weeks ahead.

Every $10 helps provide 50 meals. Give today to support our ongoing hurricane relief and recovery efforts.
