Pancakes and Good Company! 🥞

Yesterday clients in Day Services and the Increased Support Program joined together for a memorable pancake breakfast complete with delicious toppings, sausage, and fruit.

Activities like these give clients the opportunity to build friendships, strengthen social skills, and connect with others across programs in a fun and welcoming environment. Sharing experiences, laughter, and meals together helps create a strong sense of community and reminds us that some of the best moments happen when everyone comes together!

A Special Day with A-Team 💚

Yesterday, a group of KANDU A-Team members attended the Opportunities for A-Team Adventure Series Wild Game Lunch, where they had the chance to sample a variety of unique foods including wild turkey, wild boar, ram, deer, and more. The food was delicious, but the opportunity to connect, share experiences, and spend time with members of A-Team Wisconsin made the day even more meaningful.

A-Team is an advocacy group that works to promote awareness, choice, and opportunities for individuals with disabilities, including advocating for meaningful employment opportunities and community involvement. Through A-Team, clients have opportunities to strengthen self-advocacy skills, build confidence, develop friendships, and become more engaged in their communities.

Outings like this are special because they encourage individuals to try new experiences, connect with others, and continue growing as advocates for themselves and others. A special thank you to Barb, Jen, and Joel for thinking of us at KANDU and for your continued advocacy and support for the individuals we serve!

What Does a Day at KANDU Look Like?

Every day is a little different and may include trying a new activity, connecting with friends, learning something new, participating in community experiences, or simply sharing lots of laughs along the way.

Our programs are built around creating opportunities for individuals with disabilities and seniors to build skills, strengthen relationships, and experience meaningful moments each day. Often, it’s those everyday moments that make the biggest impact.
