Milton High School had extensive damage to our campus due to the Hurricane. The Mighty Black and Gold Band concessions has damage and was without power for 5 days to our building and our walk in freezer and cooler. We are in the middle of our Lumpia fundraiser and have 32,000 hand rolled lumpia in our freezer and we were in jeopardy of loosing all of it.
I have to give a HUGE SHOUT OUT and a big THANK YOU to the following businesses who stepped up and opened up to help us out and helped our band to secure freezer space so that we would not loose any of our product. They either helped with logistics of securing a place with freezer space or opened up their own freezers for us to use.

Ace's Hangar on Avalon Boulevard in Milton
The Buther Shop in Pensacola
Sysco,, who delivers to the schools
And Greeks Catering and Events in Pensacola

Also a big thank you to Spencer Warren Lunsford for coordinating all of this for us. ❤️

Yall support these local businesses when things get back to normal. They are truly amazing!!

Yall are amazing and we appreciate you so much!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

⚠️ BLACKWATER CLASSIC — CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER ⚠️

Out of an abundance of caution, and with torrential rain in the forecast, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Blackwater Classic Marching Band Festival.

While we are disappointed that we won’t get to welcome everyone to Milton High School, the safety of our students, staff, volunteers, participating bands, and families will always come first. 🖤💛

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who planned, prepared, volunteered, sponsored, and supported this event. Your continued support means more to our program and our students than you know.

Please stay dry, stay safe, and take care of one another this weekend.

As always, THANK YOU for supporting the Milton High School Mighty Black & Gold! 🖤💛🎶
