Milton Historical Society

Milton Historical Society Built along the Pennsylvania Canal in 1842 and acquired later by Col. The federal styling of the three-story brick farm home is unusual for this region.

James Cameron, a lawyer, and his wife, Rebecca, Cameron House is an important asset to Pennsylvania because of its historic association with one of this state's distinguished families. Situated on a small rise on a tree-shaded tract, the house has survived four major floods and the Great Milton Fire in 1880. It is considered a monument to early rural Pennsylvania craftsmen and a tribute to the ski

ll of its designer and builder. The house and its setting have not been diminished by distasteful encroachments and inappropriate uses, and so possess both architectural integrity and historical importance. Cameron House has been the home of the Milton Historical Society since 1981.

A huge thank you to author Chris Yohn, who made the six-hour drive from Richmond, VA, to share fascinating insights from his book, Liberty’s Land.

We also want to give a massive shoutout to our very own Breaking Bread for preparing an absolutely delicious meal.
