Men In Action Outreach, Inc. MIA is a community and youth development organization that provides enrichment programs and activities for elementary/middle/high school youth.

The goal of the Men In Action Outreach Inc., mentoring program is to prevent children from facing challenging and vulnerable circumstances by giving them the tools they need to make healthy life choices, set realistic goals and ultimately build successful lives for themselves. MIA will focus on middle and high school youths. Statistics show this age group is particularly problematic and that this

is a perfect time for mentoring to be effective. Youth will be matched with mentors who are caring and trained to provide mentoring services based on the Be a Mentor Inc., mentoring program. We aim to achieve our goals by focusing on four core program areas: Tutoring, Life-Skills Development, Career Development and Recreation. The MIA aims to achieve its mission by linking adult male mentors with male youth ages 11-18. Mentors and mentees will agree to meet on a monthly basis for two purposes: to provide the mentee with support and guidance and to monitor the mentees’ progress toward his goals. MIA’s passion is to become the big brother, friend, and confidant that every youth needs in their life during adolescence. MIA will be that big brother by continuously engaging the youth in community activities; sporting events; college tours, life-skills workshops, and by providing educational support and tutoring to the Mentee.
