January and February 2026 started with a BAM! 🎉
We’ve celebrated birthdays galore and have been digging deeper into the Word of God.

This past week we discussed Lent — a sacred season of fasting, self-denial, and prayer — reflecting the Lord’s 40 days and 40 nights of fasting in preparation for Easter.

We even learned a sweet historical nugget: around the Middle Ages (circa 610 A.D.), a monk in Northern Italy is said to have created the first pretzels, calling them pretiola — “little rewards” — for children who were obedient and learned their prayers. 🥨

Teamwork always makes God’s dreams work!

What a year! 2025 started with a miracle. Susan collapsed in front of Costco, her heart in arrhythmia, and she was gone for 2 minutes and 30 seconds… BUT GOD. She was revived, taken to Vanderbilt, and during her stay doctors discovered two tumors that led to a double mastectomy on March 7. She walked through it with incredible strength, surrounded by a God‑given dream team. 🙌
Just two weeks later, we hosted our PastaRama Fundraiser—and YOU helped us fully fund camp! This year’s camp theme, “Next Level,” set hearts on fire. 🔥
September brought See You at the Pole, a powerful morning inspired by Habakkuk 3:2. We wrapped the month with a huge Chili Cook-Off success and a year of growth—our ministry TRIPLED!
From the Corn Maze trip, to our largest Thanksgiving Dinner ever, to our first Miracle Christmas Tea with over 60 attendees—God kept moving. Local businesses donated, volunteers showed up, testimonies were shared, and it was truly holy.
Our Angel Tree and Children’s Blessing Tree efforts allowed us to bless multiple kids—BUT GOD provided through every hand that gave.
And ? Their music is literally reaching the world. 🌍🔥
Thank you to everyone who prayed, served, gave, and believed in what God is doing through Hands Up High Ministries. This year was FULL of miracles—and we’re just getting started. 💛🙌

HUH Takeaways
John 1:4–5:
“In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
These verses point us directly to Jesus, who is the Light of all humankind. When Jesus came to earth, His light was made available to everyone. Because He died on the cross for our sins, we have the opportunity to receive eternal life through Him. When we invite Jesus into our hearts, His Light—the Holy Spirit—comes to live within us. What an incredible promise!
“The darkness has not overcome it” reminds us that evil will never overpower or extinguish God’s Light. No matter how dark the world may seem, His Light still shines strong.
When we place Jesus at the center of our lives and make Him Lord of everything, we don’t have to walk blindly through the spiritual darkness caused by sin. Instead, Jesus illuminates our path so we can clearly see the way forward.
So let’s GLOW and GO — shining brightly and sharing GODS LOVE all OVER the WORLD!

Serving Nashville went great, after not getting to go out the past couple months because of severe weather it was good to be back out blessing our homeless friends on the streets. Thank you to for donating delicious warm, love in a cup. Also, thank you to all of our volunteers that joined us to spread God‘s. Come out and join us next time every last Saturday of the month.

What a way to end the year! 🎄✨
Hands Up High Youth and Children truly showed the love of Jesus this season. Together, they raised funds to bless two teenagers from the Watertown, Tennessee Angel Tree and nine children in our local community.
Hands Up High gave $200 to the high school and middle school students. From there, the students came together and donated their own hard-earned money, raising over $400—enough to purchase everything on the Angel Tree wish lists for the two teenagers.
Hands Up High also gave $100 to the children’s group. Each child and teacher donated generously, raising over $250. They were able to shop and fill nine bags of blessings for children in our community. Mrs. Kim Earp was even able to bless children on her bus route—what a beautiful domino effect of love and generosity!  These youth and children G.L.O.W. And go! They shine and sprinkle GODS LOVE all OVER the WORLD!!!! The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it! John 1:5
Thank you to everyone who participated and gave so selflessly. A huge shout-out to Felicia McPeak, Kim Jennings, and Tonya Flory for leading the Watertown Angel Tree and all the events that made this possible.
Special thanks as well to Melissa Griffin, Merlin Davis, and Jill for taking the kids out for pizza at The Depot in Watertown and shopping at the Dollar General to gather goodies for the children.
We are so blessed—this has truly been a year of blessings and miracles.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Hands Up High Christmas Miracle Tea Event! Wow! Our community showed off, showed up, and showed out! We are beyond grateful for every helping hand—those who prepared food, prayed, planned, dreamed BIG, and made this event one where ONLY “BUT GOD” could get the glory!
A huge thank you to Chick-fil-A for donating 75 chicken biscuits, and to Olive Garden for blessing us with 6 jumbo salads and breadsticks. A special shoutout to our very own Melissa Griffin for creating delicious treats for everyone! And let’s not forget Mrs. Susan, who brewed the famous PLUM TEA from Gatlinburg that everyone loved.
Thank you to the amazing talented Steve Batson who used his talent of playing the piano to bless the ears of everyone who attended during the entire event!
Thanks to Debra Bell, the Miracle Christmas Tree came to life—showing our community all that Hands Up High Ministries provides and the lives we touch. Tasha Jones and Susan Batson shared their powerful Miracle stories, reminding us once again that “ BUT GOD” gets ALL the Glory!

With the new year in sights and 2025 coming to a close, let’s finish this year out strong together! What are some things God is putting on your heart to do before the end of this year? And what are some things you wanna do better next year? We love this scripture because it’s so true! Your life is but a v***r and when we realize how brief life is and that you’re not promised tomorrow, it can help motivate us to get unstuck and do now what God is putting on your heart to do!
