Speaking of back to school, we’re sure going to miss our summer “intern”, Samuel (Cynthia’s 10 y/o grandson)! His final contribution to DIG after shifts spent with his grandmother this summer was setting up this free book nook for DIG kiddos. 🥹

A core component of DIG is letting our volunteers try out ideas that will better serve our clients. This is a favorite! 💛📚

With school starting for lots of families in our region over the next week, we were thrilled to receive this sweet donation of backpacks stuffed with various school supplies for DIG families by Christ's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lewisburg! Thanks to this group, we're not only furnishing homes across the Valley, but making sure kids' school desks feel the love, too! 🥰🎒📝🍎

We had the joy of hosting an awesome group of staff from the Central Susquehanna IU Early Head Start program yesterday! Our volunteers, Cynthia and Martha, led them through the process of sorting through our Christmas and holiday decor to start prepping for our annual Merry + Bright Market for clients in November! 🤶🏻🎄🎁 They were tremendous, fun, festive helpers, and were so grateful they took the time out of their Friday morning to support DIG. 💛
