Today, members of Local 1116 had the honor of standing shoulder to shoulder as we said goodbye to Firefighter BK Kilduff of Boston Firefighters Local 718 IAFF Our brothers and sisters traveled far and wide to pay their respects, not because it was required, but because that’s what family does.

This is what the Brotherhood and Sisterhood means.

It doesn’t matter what house you work out of, what city or town you serve, or what union hall you call home. When one of us falls, we all feel it. We run toward what others run from, and we do it knowing the people beside us would give everything for us, just as we would for them.

An amazing send off to an amazing man. Rest easy, brother.

Milton Firefighters Local 1116 mourns the loss of Boston FF Robert Kilduff Jr., a 24-year veteran, U.S. Marine, and third-generation firefighter who made the ultimate sacrifice last night.

We extend our deepest condolences to Bob’s family and our brothers and sisters at Boston Firefighters Local 718 IAFF. We stand with you in this tremendous loss.

Rest easy, Brother Kilduff. You will never be forgotten.

With bitter cold, icy conditions, and heavy snowbanks, last night’s response was anything but easy. But through training, teamwork, and determination, Milton Firefighters got the job done.

When conditions are at their worst, preparation matters. Coordination matters. And trust in one another matters.

Proud of our firefighters who answered the call and proved, once again, that no matter the conditions, the residents of Milton come first.

Big shout out to our Brothers and Sisters from Randolph Firefighters Local 1268 Canton Firefighters IAFF Local 1580 and Friends Of Quincy Firefighters IAFF Local 792 who assisted us last night as well.

Please take a few minutes to shovel out fire hydrants in your neighborhood—at least 3 feet all the way around. Clear hydrants help firefighters respond faster when it matters most.

Our deepest condolences to the Franklin Family and Boston Firefighters Local 718 IAFF. Another brother gone too soon. May you rest in peace Brother Franklin.

Boston Firefighters IAFF Local 718 deeply regrets the passing of Brother Firefighter Robert Franklin, Active Member.

A long-serving member of Tower Ladder 10 in Jamaica Plain, Firefighter Franklin was well-liked and regarded by his fellow Firefighters and the community he served.

Rob will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
