With bitter cold, icy conditions, and heavy snowbanks, last night’s response was anything but easy. But through training, teamwork, and determination, Milton Firefighters got the job done.

When conditions are at their worst, preparation matters. Coordination matters. And trust in one another matters.

Proud of our firefighters who answered the call and proved, once again, that no matter the conditions, the residents of Milton come first.

Big shout out to our Brothers and Sisters from Randolph Firefighters Local 1268 Canton Firefighters IAFF Local 1580 and Friends Of Quincy Firefighters IAFF Local 792 who assisted us last night as well.

Please take a few minutes to shovel out fire hydrants in your neighborhood—at least 3 feet all the way around. Clear hydrants help firefighters respond faster when it matters most.

Our deepest condolences to the Franklin Family and Boston Firefighters Local 718 IAFF. Another brother gone too soon. May you rest in peace Brother Franklin.

Boston Firefighters IAFF Local 718 deeply regrets the passing of Brother Firefighter Robert Franklin, Active Member.

A long-serving member of Tower Ladder 10 in Jamaica Plain, Firefighter Franklin was well-liked and regarded by his fellow Firefighters and the community he served.

Rob will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

🚒 Milton Firefighters Open House 🚒
This year’s Open House carries special meaning as we honor the life and legacy of Firefighter Danio Thomas, who recently lost his courageous battle with occupational cancer.

Danio was more than a firefighter—he was a devoted family man, a brother to all in the fire service, and a selfless presence in our community. We invite you to join us in celebrating his memory while also learning about fire safety, cancer awareness in the fire service, and the strength of community support.

📅 Date: Saturday, October 18th
📍 Location: Headquarters 1 Engine Road
🕒 Time: 12-2pm

The day will include:
✅ Fire station tours
✅ Family-friendly activities
✅ Fire safety education
✅ Special tributes to FF Thomas

Come meet your firefighters, honor Danio’s legacy, and stand together in support of all those impacted by occupational cancer.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Firefighter Danio Thomas after his courageous battle with cancer. Danio was a devoted family man—both to his loved ones at home and his brothers and sisters here at Milton Fire. His selflessness, kindness, and strength will never be forgotten.
