Hello everyone,

The Board of Elections met a few minutes ago to certify the candidates. There were two candidates who filed for the two open seats; therefore, they also voted to cancel the municipal election that was scheduled for March 07.

I am excited to be reelected to the Milton Town Council for another three year term, and congratulate Councilman-elect Perry Higgs on his election to his first term. Our terms begin at the April 06 meeting.

Thank you all again for your support and kind words. Many of you have encouraged me to run for office and I am grateful for the trust you have put in me. I look forward to continue representing all Miltonians on the Milton Town Council!

Regards,
Councilman Scotty L. Edler,
Town of Milton

I wish to thank the people of Milton for their support and their kindness towards my entire family. It has meant a lot to us.

I want to congratulate and welcome Councilman-Elect Perry Higgs. I am excited to get to work with him over the next three years and pledge to support him as he prepares to assume office in April.

Finally, I want to congratulate and thank Councilwoman Randi Meredith on serving our town over the last six years.

There will not be a contested election this year in Milton, as the Jan. 6 filing deadline passed with only two candidates filing to run for two open seats. Those candidates are incumbent Councilman Scotty Edler and Perry Higgs, who currently serves...
