The 44th annual Boston Firefighters Memorial 10K Road Race will return to Dorchester on Sunday, Oct. 11, with a 9 a.m. start at Florian Hall on Hallet Street.

The ramp connecting the Milton trolley station to Adams Street has just opened! Please be considerate of people crossing the trail between the station and the ramp. This ramp replaces the old, worn-out staircase that was torn down several years ago.

Raptors and other wildlife need you. If you've enjoyed connecting with the wildlife ambassadors at Mass Audubon Drumlin Farm and Blue Hills Trailside Museum, now's your chance to speak up for these species.

Soon, the state legislature’s Mass Ready Act Conference Committee will decide whether to adopt an amendment permitting towns to ban the use of anticoagulant rodent poisons, which are harming thousands of wildlife and pets in Massachusetts every year, on all property (including private).

Sign by September 30! We need the Conference Committee to hear from as many supporters as possible before they decide. Let’s get this amendment included in the final version of the Mass Ready Act to protect our wildlife and pets.

Please be careful on the Neponset River Greenway Trail. There are a lot of slippery wet leaves and small branches and minor flooding. If you encounter a tree down or other damage please report it to DCR.
