By the grace of Allah, Silicon Valley Lajna gathered at the Milpitas Mosque earlier this month to compete in a local Ijtema, which featured hand-crafted espresso drinks, a seminar by Dr. Darla booth, a painting competition, and a bazaar that included kameez, jewelry and guava pastries — to name just a few of the many blessings that attendees enjoyed. May Allah bestow us with the opportunity to congregate and worship again, and vie with one another for good deeds.

The evening served as a vital forum for reflecting on the global necessity for peace and the establishment of justice.

Beyond the breaking of the fast, the gathering emphasized the power of collective dialogue and the importance of fostering mutual understanding within our diverse community.

Alhumdulilah Imam Haasher Ahmed and members from Silicon Valley Jama’at had the opportunity to meet with the Mayor of the city of Merced, Matthew Serratto.

They were able to gift him the Holy Quran in both English and Spanish, and also shared a few books of the worldwide head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (May Allah be his Helper).

They engaged in meaningful dialogue about the importance of upholding justice and peace, particularly in the role of public service.

They also spoke upon the differences between Ahmadiyyat and other Muslim denominations, Persecution in Pakistan, as well as various initiatives of the Community throughout the world to aid the less fortunate.
